Recently, the N + P Group signed a cooperation agreement with Ploegsteert for the supply of secondary raw materials. Ploegsteert, a major player in the production of various ceramic building materials in Belgium, processes the secondary raw materials in a number of its production sites in Belgium.

As secondary raw materials are used, production is more sustainable thus preventing the simple incineration or landfill of residues. In addition, the secondary extenders displace the primary raw materials.

Among other things N + P delivers paper sludge, a waste stream released during the production of paper and cardboard from its customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Additionally, rockwool granulate is supplied. This residual stream originates from the greenhouses.
